SUPERB LOCATION: Just 2-5 mins walk to Hoan Kiem lake, Old Quarter, Hanoi Train Station, Hoa Lo Prison and so many local favourite street food, bars, cafes and other services. 1. THE SPACE Easy self-checkin, retro Vietnam design and modern comfort! Our Space is Nomad friendly with great work space, fast Wi-Fi and kitchen on demand (We will set up if you stay for long and need it!) Located in the middle of the French Quarter and Old Quarter, Hanoi Retro 80s Homestay complex is a rare gem to find and to stay. It was home to generations of different Vietnamese family from the 1980s and is now open for agoda guests to rent the entire place. Dwell yourself in the dreamy sunshine terrance and while sipping hot Vietnamese green tea and enjoy your slow-living as an Hanoian. Built in the 1980s period, Hanoi Retro 80s Homestay is inspired by the Việt Nam Đổi Mới (Economic Reform) era interior design with modern touches like Fast Wifi, Air Conditioning which brings you a retro yet comfortable experience during your stay. Our complex is split into 6 rooms with common features: ∙ The highlight of our complex is our lovely outdoor terrance, with paranomic view and electric plugs, perfect for some tea relax time or working hours in the sunshine right in the middle of Hanoi. ∙ Sleeping area (comfy queen sized bed with Akemi Uchi mattress). 2 extra mattresses can be provided for extra guests 3 and 4 ∙ A spacious and clean bathroom/toilet area with Hot Water (about 4 metres squared). However, one unconvinience thing is that the bathroom is located outside the room (5 metres from the entrance) due to the structure of the old house. We have reflect this inconviniece by lowering the price (hence, this must be the cheapest room in Hanoi with a private Garden!) Room 2 is special as it is situated on the second floor of the Complex, with straight entrance to a private terrance and a wooden lodge finishing interior. We also offer airport pickup service at fixed rate, cheaper than regular taxi but with cleaner, newer car and better care from our driver. Please let us know if you need this. Our neighbors have laundry (folded clean clothes) for 35,000vnd/dry kilogram (about $2/kg) -- convenient payment via agoda. 2. GUEST ACCESS You will get access to Room 2 (together with its bathroom), its own terrance and our huge common space with panoramic view 3. THE NEIGHBORHOOD Hosts dont live on this property but are available 24/7 for help or assistance and can easily be contacted via agoda messages or other chat apps or phone calls and texts. There are plenty of bus routes around and Grab Bike is always available as a cheaper, safe, clean, convenient transport compared to taxi :) If you need parking for car or motorbike, please notice us in advance so we can support you with the location. We have also prepared a customized travel guide for Hanoi, so you can refer to that whenever you need to know about money exchange, transportation, food & drinks recommendation, etc. You will have to climb the staircase (3 floors) to reach our complex. But don't worry, you will feel it is worth the calories when you see our open spaces.
